Focus: ON - Promoting Distraction-Free Learning Environments
Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.

HCS is cultivating a dynamic learning environment that includes offering science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities across all grades.

Birch Creek Excellence
Our students engage in a wide range of subjects and clubs, including advanced math, advanced ELA, World Languages, STEM, Art, Music, and P.E.
Our school is committed to fostering a sense of belonging by offering a diverse array of clubs and organizations, including National Jr. Beta Club, Robotics, HER, Chorus, Reading Bowl, and more.
We are a Title I school, we use Title I resources to support students' academic growth. These funds help provide additional teaching staff, professional development, enhanced materials and technology, and supplemental programs for students needing extra support.
We are committed to supporting the whole child by providing intentional, individualized support aimed at meeting each student’s unique needs. These supports help ensure that all students have access to the tools necessary for success.
We use assessment tools like AMIRA, MAP, GKIDS, Georgia Milestone, and ACCESS to track student progress. These assessments provide valuable insights into strengths, weaknesses, and growth, allowing us to tailor instruction to meet individual needs and support classroom goals.
Our Family Engagement program provides services to support both academic and personal needs, ensuring every family has tools for success. Ms. Parks, our wonderful Family Engagement Liaison is here to offer guidance and to connect with families with resources. Contact Ms. Parks for more information.
